I was running 4.5.8.1 on Ubuntu Dapper, and recently upgraded to 4.7.2. Previously, the welcome email system worked fine: User would create an account, and receive a 'pending' email with username and password. Then I would approve the account, and a further 'welcome' email was sent, saying that the user could now log in etc.
Following the upgrade, the first "pending approval" email gets sent properly (i.e. the mailer works), but for some reason once I have approved the account no further "welcome" email is sent to tell the user that the account has been activated.
Hi,
I just wanted to configure the comment settings for certain content types - but since the 4.7 update, the menu is gone! "administer -> content" is still there, I get a list of all nodes for approval, etc., but there is no "configure" tab. Any ideas?
Instead of dragging all the files back and fourth between 4.7.0 and 4.7.2, has anyone tried using rsync to update the 4.7.0 folder with files from the 4.7.2 folder?
I ask because you can tell rsync to only upgrade new files, and to leave alone any files that you specify, and it only takes a few seconds. I used to do this with Joomla and did not experience any problems.
After installing to 4.7 my image upload module (image) is screwed. I get the following error:
warning: move_uploaded_file(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid/gid is 134804/134804 is not allowed to access files/tmp/tmp_IjRQp8 owned by uid/gid 398/398 in /hsphere/local/home/thesutex/blog.heggli.biz/includes/file.inc on line 227.
I cant delete the files, it wont let me. Is there anyway i can fix this? I am tired of manualy ftp`ing images to the server =)
I believe Flexinode's upgrade to 4.7 has been very badly handled. Note that I am not criticising flexinode developers per se, but questioning the decision to more or less abandon development in favour of CCK, which is not yet fully functional, leaving hundreds of users between the devil and the deep sea as far as upgrade to 4.7 is concerned.
