Upgrading Drupal

I upgraded a test site to 4.7, and my previous theme is not being used. So I do some reading and see that the theme and theme engines for 4.6 are not compatible with 4.7. Fine, so I download a 4.7 theme to customise. I then go to the themes engine download page and there is no PHPtemplate theme engine for 4.7.

Consequently the 4.7 theme is not working either. What do I need to do to get themes working in 4.7?

I am wondering if I am doing everything right when updating cck. This is what I am doing and I am not getting any error messages.

1) Login as admin user
2) leaving cck enabled
3) Uploading the new files
4) Running update.php

Is that it or did I forget anything. I just wanna make sure that I don't miss any important steps. As I said I don't get any error messages!

All I can see on my main page is the "Page Not Found" message.

I previously upgraded to 4.6.6, and it seemed to work for me. Then I got a complaint from a user, and when I tried to login I was not allowed. This was much like the other things people posted, but I never found a suitable solution.

Flash forward about 4 months to present day, and the login issue was still not fixed. So I decided to upgrade to the latest version in the hopes of finally fixing the problem. At first I had some errors and had to repair two tables: sessions and watchdog.

seems like if I hit my 4.7.2 site running in windows, after a few pages there's an apache process and mysql process that spike the CPU forever until I kill them. has anyone else had this problem? running php5, mysql5 and apache2, and drupal 4.7.2. (I can get more specific if necessary.)

My site was originally set up using Fantastico as part of my host and was running 4.6.x and there I saw that there was an update to 4.7.2 available via Fantastico. The blurb said that it shouldn't be run if any changes had been made, and as I'd made loads of changes to my theme and was using several modules I thought it best to leave it.

But I checked with my host and they said it should be fine to run. So I did. And it wasn't!!!

I am a drupal newbie and from austria so my english isn't perfect please remember that by answearing my thread. I have installed gallery 2 and integrated it into drupal. Perfect. Now i saw that gallery is able to make usergallery's and i wounder if it's possible to get the usergallery into the drupal profil of each user?! is it kompatibel? If not, are there any other module's for usergallerys in the profil or even a whole nickpage module?
