Stranded and now...

Hi everyone!

I know I don't really belong here...but I don't know what else to do. I am not a designer by far! I have AceNet as my host and a friend had begun to set up the site for me to be able to manage online, since I am not a designer. Unfortunately, he stranded me. I hope he is okay...but cannot rely on him any longer. The site was on the domain /test for about four months. But finally, a couple weeks ago I begged tech support at the host to place it on the main domain. Before that, I had a log in and administrator user account. I learned a lot on my own. Then, I came here to look for answers to some problems. But the language here is way over my head. I am sorry that I come here all silly with ignorance and all...my sincere apologies.

Will you look at my site and tell me if I truly need to upgrade it? I know I have version 4.? And I have only been able to upload my logo on the site...only I found out after three days going to the control panel on the host that I could have done it on the site with the admin account...duh, right? So that gives you an idea...eh?

lost ability to comment after upgrade to 5.1

I upgraded from 4.7 to 5.1. Everything looks great except for one big issue where I have no link for the comments and other things that appear below the teasers AND below the full node. Can someone please help me to track down this issue? I've searched throughout the forums and can only find others with the same error, but no posted solutions.

If you contact me privately, I can send you a link to my site. But I don't want to post it publicly.

Help! Mysql 5.x

I am trying to move my Drupal site from a Fedora machine to an Ubuntu 7.4 machine. Drupal installs fine and works fine until I try to update the database with the tables from the old site. Once I do that, it seems that I lose all sorts of variables:

mega-upgrade from 4.5 to 5.1 - strategies?

Hello!

I would like to upgrade an older site - from 4.5 to 5.1. What is the best strategy to do this? All the modules I used are up to date, the template doesn't use version-specific code. As far as I can see it, only the database has to be upgraded. Can Drupal 5.1 do this? If not, is there any other way than upgrading to 4.6, 4.7 and 5.1? Can I somehow run the upgrade-sql from database/updates.inc separately?

Any hints appreciated.

Upgrading from 4.6.5 to 5.1. Need help.

Hi, I'm wanting to upgrade my drupal site from 4.6.5 to the newest version. I've tried using the upgrade link in my Cpanel in the fantastico. But it gives me a error on upgrade. I have some what heavily modified my drupal, such as colors, and even added some scripts and stuff to my drupal.

I do provide downloads for game clients and tech support with my site. So i do wish to upgrade with no or little interuption to the activity to my site and its users. So any help at all would be great.

Where is the forum module?

Hello everyone,

Apologies for the simple question but I have updated my Drupal from 4.6 to 5.0, I am now updated my modules but I cannot find the forum module anyway.

Can someone point me in the right direction / link.

Thanks

Phil
