I have gone through the upgrade process from 7.7.2 to 8.9.3. While there are a variety of things I have to work through to make the D8 site ready the biggest challenge is around 5000 nodes that didn't get updated correctly.
I have a content type that as just 2 fields, Title, and a file attachment - typically a .doc file but could be .pdf as well.
I'm relatively new to Drupal but have a lot of experience with Wordpress and Expression Engine.
I'm running 2 servers with Drupal 8 for testing. One is a 'test' (TEST) instance and one is a 'production' (PROD) instance. I’ve been using Composer to install updates. They are running on Windows Server 2016 using IIS. I copied composer.json and composer.lock from TEST over to PROD. They were installed using the version 8 recommended project.
Good afternoon everyone, I would like to receive help or tips about an error updating to Drupal 8.8.8. How can I fix the following error? I receive this message:
I have a D8.9.3 site. I want to update modules to D8/D9 compatible versions as they become available. Some D8 only modules are listed as "Up to date" but list a D8/D9 version as "Also Available" under the Available Updates "List" tab, however they are not listed under the "Update" tab.
If I attempt to install the new version over top, via Extend / Install New Module, I get an error that the module is already installed. If I try to uninstall the D8 only version first, I get a warning that all data will be lost.
How can I upgrade these modules without losing all data?
We need to change password for accessing database because of security issue and our host recommend to change c-panel password. So ones we change it on c-panel our website becomes invisible with error message.
We know where it is
public_html/sites/default/settings.php
and could access it, but we could not make any changes.
