I had 5.2 running for a long time, and it worked great. If I logged in, I could read posts, submit comments, etc... the browser didnt lose my cookie, and drupal knew my session until I logged out.
After upgrading to 5.7, It seems that the login/session/cookie is not working properly...
I log in, and when I go to read a post, it doesnt show my the comments or menu, and instead looks as if I have not logged in at all. if I relogin, it still doesnt matter. This happens in FF2.0 and IE6. Both of which worked fine just fine with 5.2.
Currently, I have a problem with "Promoted to front page" after upgrading my Drupal. I have created a static page and I want to display it on my frontpage/homepage, so I checked "Published", "Promoted to front page" and "Sticky at top of lists". After that, the content did appear on the front page. However, the block that I created earlier on the right side, now all of the sudden, appeared to be at the left bottom. This problem only affected the homepage/frontpage but not other pages.
my site is on v6rc1 (yes, I know, it was silly of me)
I tried to install and upgrade to 6.2 and got errors
I tried to install new version and copy the DB to the new place (with and without the cache tables) and got errors
what's the right way to move to 6.2?
should I copy/paste every page?
I upgraded from Drupal 4.7 to 5.7. I did a fresh install of the core modules, as instructed.
Forum content entered previously in 4.7 is displaying. Newsletter categories remained the same. The new forum content does not display as a discussion topic/thread.
I looked at the `forum` data table and noticed the 'tid' field was empty. I looked up the category term and edited those rows in the database. Same results. New forum content is not displayed.
I've run the update.php and the Views tool to clear the cache.
I just spent 10 hours trying to upgrade Drupal from 4.6.5 to ... well, anything current. Every time I tried to convert the database, I got zillions of errors. But when I looked at the tables, the stuff that the report said failed seemed to be there.
First I tried upgrading from 4.6.5 to 5.7. All my site content was lost - nothing displayed. This may have been related to the database error "Object of class stdClass could not be converted to string", but I'm guessing.
