Page layout in Drupal 8 - context, panels, ... ?

We're starting the process of moving from D7 to D8, and I'm looking for opinions (and good informative articles) as to context vs panels vs other options for page layout in D8.

In D7 we've used Contexts and have been quite happy with it. Others I know have used Panels and been quite happy with that option as well.

I know that D8 has the Layout Builder, and am wondering if anyone can provide feedback or input as to how it (or other D8 options) compare to contexts and panels.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Pablo

Create a content type programmatically

Hi,

I have come across a function protected function ContentTypeCreationTrait::createContentType() . But I did not come across any good examples online to create a content type using the function.

I would appreciate if you let me know how to create a content type using a title and machine name of my choice.

Make a dynamic menu of content fields

Hi guys, I need your help! I'm new to Drupal 8 and that's what I'd like to do: I create a content with many fields, three of them are populated by multiple images. I don't want these fields to be shown in the main page of the content but put them in other "sub-pages", accessible by a custom menu. Now the problem is that I should have a menu for every content but it should redirect to different pages based on the particular instance of the content the user is in. I thought it could be done with Views and Contextual Filters but I didn't find a solution.

Media management in 8.7.6 (newbie question)

Hi all!

I am evaluating 8.7.6 hosted on Pantheon and have been truly impressed with the infrastructure.  But not so much with the media management capabilities in this latest version.  I have enabled the core media module and the experimental media library module.  However, in my test installation I still don't see any UI element that would allow you to access the previously uploaded images from a standard WYSIWYG interface.  What do I need to do to expose these previously uploaded images to site editors?

Thanks!
