Drupal 8.x

I'm new to Drupal and this post is going to showcase that. I would like to create articles and have them be published to a 'News' page of my website. On this News page I want to have 3 sections (local, state, national) that displays the most recent article for each section's category. I'm pretty sure this is accomplished by adding a new view, but past that I'm just pressing buttons, hoping for the best, and coming up short. Can someone please give me some instructions on how to proceed to achieve my desired functionality?

Hi I'm extremely new to Drupal and only have a beginners level of knowledge about the system. (the Aquia's Drupal beginners course)

I have been tasked with learning how to Migrate a WordPress blog into Drupal (preferably 8)

I have been struggling with a timeout error in a couple of Drupal 8 sites, which I have not been able to reproduce. When I deploy them into my colleague's production server (a Mac machine), all the Drupal 8 sites are experiencing a page lock up (the browser waits indefinitely). I have not been able to reproduce the error in my machine (running Debian), neither in testing instances in other servers (e.g. a free Pantheon instance). The only clues I have for the moment are:

Hello! I'm starting to freak out a little bit. I have installed, deleted, re-installed, over and over and over again the latest drupal version, some old ones with distributions, etc...

anyway, my problem is I'm trying to learn this CMS but I'm not that advanced, so I was HOPING I could install Drupal and have it installed with a demonstration website fully loaded with content, so this way I can pick at each section and learn how to do this, that, etc, etc...

I have created content type and now would like to get the data from https://data.gov.uk/data/api/service/transport/naptan_railway_stations/p...

create the nodes and put the data into respective fields.
