The problem can be reproduced by attempt to make any changes to a menu via the item list UI, then clicking save, after ALL menu items get disabled. This problem is a real productivity killer.
I'm looking for a Drupal solution similar to what may be available in other CMS, for registering and booking seminars (keeping track of how many seats/spots are available), and applying payments. I know there was some commerce plug-ins available, but many of the plug-ins were for Drupal Version 7 and I'm looking to start with Version 8.

I've set up a test site to do some experimentation before I try to convert over my working site. But I have a question about modules that require other modules to work. I was under the impression from some of the documentation that this is done automatically, but my JSON file makes it look like not everything is registered.
For example, the Pathauto module requires Token as well as CTools. When I entered the command:
I am creating my first site on my local PC under XAMPP. I have a particular segment of text that I want always to appear on the site's homepage, but not on any other page of the site. However, I just cannot figure out how to do this. I have setup this text segment as a content type "basic page." Also, I have several "article" content types that I have created; and have promoted these articles to the front page. Basically, I want this text segment to appear on the homepage, above the several articles that have been promoted to the front page. How do I do this?
