Drupal 8.x

I suspect using 'drush cr' to rebuild the cache fixed it, but that was after I started following the instructions to disable cache.

Drupal 8, current version, fully up to date on 64 bit Gentoo Linux,
using mariadb 10.1.26, php 7.0.21, apache 2.4.27

Hi,

I am using the Scheduled Update module with workbench moderation enabled.
The scheduled update works fine when i click on run updates and the automatic update is not working.
I can see that there is active defect for this
Can you please let me know there is any patch or workaround or any configuration changes to fix this ?

When i used Drupal 7 i could easily ad an external or internal link to an image.
I could select a new image, and with the link tab I could add any link to any website.
Now i installed a new Drupal 8 and this doens't work anymore.

I installed the IMCE but still cant find this

Does this only work in D7?

I have a question regarding using php/html forms to post data to a page.

I made a new basic page, and tried to post some data to that same page, or even just manually added some data to the url via ?example=data

I had some problems with the data posted/submitted not showing and was wondering why, since fiddler showed that the data was being posted properly and nothing seemed off.

When i changed a few images such as the logo, changes didnt apply, so i thought i'd just clear the cache to get the image changes to show.

I just set up Drupal and on the home page I have a message that reads ' No front page content has been created yet.'click to add content.
When you click to add content you get taken too two options [ add a basic page or article ] I have created other pages fine and moved them where I want , but I cant work out how to get content on that home page despite trying to post it there?
Any thoughts or help would be great !
