Probably the wrong forum but I am pretty upset as I have wasted so much time trying to get Drupal 8 and Varbase to do what I need it to do. Thought to share my frustrations
I'm trying to understand the process to update a drupal site after it's gone live with new changes.
So let's say the live site is in use and users are adding content. On my side I'm making various changes to a development version. This could include any type of change including altering the current content types.
Now if I want to update the live site, the code can be handled by a merge, but what about changes that affect the database?
i have a "help" taxonomy. and some articles under this "help" taxonomy.
and currently i use the content_recent block for all articles to show the recent articles that i created.
but, now i only want to show the recent article under the "help" taxonomy for the articles which are also under "help" taxonomy.
Enocured site problems message before plain update to Drupal 4.3.6 to newest.
Some pages can be opened - some with errors.
I was backup files on time before update but now site is down with message about encored error on every page I was open.
Seems, problem associated with DB.
p.s.: after every update I do I have problem with views module. It's broken every time and I need to reinstall in and recreate blocks manually.
