Drupal 8.x

After importing hundreds of nodes with the Feeds module, all of my images were imported as files, but not mapped to the Media Library.

Is there a way to import directories of files into the Media Library in D8? The Media object would need a name, and I would be OK with the Filename as the default Media Name.

I think the Migrate module can do this, right?

I would like to be able to add the file:// protocol to the list of filter_protocols so that we can add links to shared company files on a mapped drive from within our intranet website, but I'm not sure how to do this. Right now, it is apparently not included, according to Link Module Overview. Is there a way to manually configure this list in order to add file://?

I want to decrease the default char limit of 255 chars of Title field. Is there any way I can do it.

This is a client request and I looking for a workaround.

I hava on my site different boxes which are links to a subpage. Unfortunately there are some long words and I can configure where the word should break. Do something exist like soft hyphen to break the words correctly.

Example:

It's break: neighborho     It should break neighbor
                od                                         hood

New to DRUPAL, Debian 8, apache2, MariaDB, PHP 7.x, DRUPAL 8, localhost, not published yet.

This problem of no clear URLs appeared out of nowhere as clear URL worked perfectly for few weeks.

I DID change the site name, I guess just for the sake ot it, a day before to use ngrok and see if at friend's place I could see my site.

Well there was this weird problem: The front page (with ngrok using IP only) was ok but other links were not found cause there was index.php inserted in front of the link. Manually removing the 'index.php' part worked ok. 

This issue is regarding Drupal 8 integrated Media module, .htaccess Redirect and Drupal Cache. I use Drupal 8.5.3

I wanted to build a Media library which produces a unique link for a particular media element and the attachment can be changed.

So, wrote a custom module "mediadownload" and enabled Drupal Media module and use the link of the media item as the unique URL. (http://domain.com/media/18/test-pdf)
