Forum intergration or cloneing?

Hi, i currently have a PhPBB3 forum. Ive put alot of time and effort into styling it and getting it just right. The issue im faceing now is that PhPBB simply isnt robust enough to accomplish everything id like to do.

Id like to have a site which incorporates a forum, a blog, static pages, articles, and possibly a small section of tutorial videos and photos...all of which id like to have integrated login/access for users. It would also be nice, especially on the home page, to have all this content presented up to date for users.

For instance on the home page maybe an excerpt from the latest blog post, a window displaying the last 5 forum posts, an excerpt of an article, etc.

Seeing as how i currently have a forum, am i better off integrating my pre exsisting PhPBB3 with a drupal site using a bridge type of module. Or is there a way to "clone" the look of my forum, possibly even carry over the posts, and have the same look and feel of my exsisting forum but by using a full on forum module.

Whats the best aproach to expanding on my current site?

Also, i have been learning a good deal of CSS but i know almost no PhP. If i where to completely use drupal and its modules to make my site how well could i style the entire site knowing almost no php? I would like the style to be similar if not the same as my current sites.

the url of my site is; digitalvisions.org

design from scratch

People have asked this same question in different ways but none seems to ask/answer exactly *my* question.

I'm a visual designer, pretty good at HTML and less good at CSS. I've been hired to create a custom design for my school's website. Ordinarily I would design the page in Photoshop, cut it up and code it in HTML and I would be done. But they need a CMS (mainly to update pages -- no blogging, e-commerce or anything fancy) and we want to create a custom look for the site.

how portable is Drupal?

We have an installation of drupal6 on a local computer which is working very nicely, but now I am wondering if it would be possible to copy the site we have set up to a remote server once we have one. Would it be possible to transfer the database to another server running mysql without breaking drupal?

module for version control

I really like the way version control works on this site (a bit like wikipedia) & would like to use it on my own site.

Is that achieved by a module? which one?

Is Drupal Right for me in this particular proyect?

Hello,
I´m sort of new here at Drupal, but I´ve already tested it, and found it amazing.
I´m working in a web application that wants to administrate apartaments [and maybe car´s] rents.
Now, I´ve searched the forums, but still don´t know if Drupal can manage the following:

#1. Create accounts for people that has several apartments to administrate. Those apartments usually are form separate owners, and have obviously different tenant´s.
I want tenat´s and owners aswell to be able to communicate with the administrators, and sort of control what they are doing [so they could actually see all stuff that´s going on]. I think that OG can help with that and some sort of taxonomy control per user.

#2. Manage administrator´s accountability (this is the most important stuff that I cannot really know if Drupal can handle). I want they to manage each single apartament´s accounts:
Knowing what aumont each tenant is paying per month, and if they are late in their payments to add an interest rate (wich could be different in each case, because some contracts could apply 1% of monthy interest rate where others apply 2% or 3%). Maybe some contracts could even apply different ways of calculating interest rates).

Volunteer Scheduling

Hello. We're already using Drupal 6.x for our organization's site, along with CiviCRM 2.1 (mostly for CiviEvent, for event registration). We're running our calendar still through Google calendar, and linking to the event registration pages from there). We're not sure how well any online calendar/sign-up system would work for our volunteers, and, as I'm pretty new to Drupal, I don't want to sink more time than is necessary into getting something set up.
