Can drupal create a site like google adwords/adsense?

Im looking for a way for users to pay to upload adverts to my site, and then my site to automatically pay website owners to publish the ads on their site.

Ill need 2 roles, one for the user paying to advertise through us and the user advertising. I know how to set this up.

I can probably use CCK to create the advert field, and use taxonomy to allow the user catagories their adverts.

I think I saw a module that makes users pay before publishing there content (am I correct), so that will probably help.

Need help starting on multi-user dynamic site

I have done a good bit of research on how to build a client login section to my company website, and after realizing a home-grown php/mysql-based solution might be do-able but would be a huge challenge to maintain on my own (with, admittedly, only an intermediate level of understanding of php and mysql), I have settled on Drupal because it sounds robust enough to handle what I need.

Problem is, I'm not quite sure where to start. I've played around some, downloaded some modules that I think might be helpful based on what I've read in tuts and in the forum, but I'm at a loss to figure out exactly what I need to do. I've played with CCK, taxonomy, views, and more.

Here's my basic criteria:

- Need each client to be able to login (I can assign them credentials) and be taken to what I'll call the Dashboard, which I envision being overall the same for each client (same menu items, same general textual content) BUT would like it to be somewhat client-specific (think "Welcome back, Client 123" at the top (where Client 123 is their user name).

Waiting Lists

Hi,

I'm creating a site that sells entry to Classes, Camps and also sells products. The Classes, Camps etc. are for kids so parents enter their billing info and also info for the kid(s) attending.
When the Class is full I want to add waiting list functionality, a form displayed instead of the usual checkout procedure, but holding the same parent and child fields. The admin should
then be able to view the separate waiting lists for the different Classes and the submitted info for the different submissions.

Can Drupal do everything on this list? (I'm savvy with Wordpress but have never used Drupal)

I'm developing a site for a record label and would like to know if Drupal can take care of everything below and which modules you'd suggest...

- the ability to show random artists/producers in a section
- an audio player that allows you to see "most played" in a separate section of the website
- a video player that allows you to see "most viewed" in a separate section of the website
- top downloads
- top sellers (producers who want to sell their music)
- store to sell mp3s

Suggestions for a social networking site based around worldbuilding?

Hi. I haven't been using Drupal for a long time, but I have been interested in making a site that revolves around worldbuilding (basically creating fictional worlds) and any story/art related to the worlds posted on the site. Ideally, it should have this:

  • A "wiki" of sorts that's created on a world by world basis, along with permission control based on the relationships the creator of that world has made,
  • Commentable on image galleries, images, stories, and any pages documenting the member's world.
  • A user profile listing a user's activity based on created/updated dates.

I've already done some browsing on the list of modules for Drupal and fixed up a few things myself (no major content in it yet), but I think I maybe using too many modules for this task. (If needed, I'll post the current list of modules my site has aside from the core modules).

For instance:
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc227/ShadowKyogre/snapshot1.png Screencap of what comment should look like. (designed with Panels, still working on it)
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc227/ShadowKyogre/snapshot2.png Screencap of what comment actually looks like when not viewed directly. (need to get the Node Comments to output like in the previous shot, there's a Creator's Notes field, but I didn't fill it in in the sample picture)
