I have looked at search engine friendly URL posts, but the notice on the main page has no link. Are SEF URLs automatic or does it have to be configured? On the demo at opensourcecms the URLs created had ? marks, so not SEF.
Are the auto-installs on fantastico always up-to-date? I have used this before, but they seem to be old releases (other software - not Drupal).
Any suggestions on good hosts? Silly question, but recommendations better than just guessing. Obviously a host that has some liking for this type of thing.
my client is a jeweler and mainly specializes in customer jewelry. i'm not charging him an outrageuos price. i've concluded that a cms type system might be ideal and suggested he write articles periodically so that the website can have better search engine rankings. do you think this is ideal for my client or should i just stick to plain old html. and build him a static page? i've wanted to simplify the task for him but i'm really concerned that he actually gets some unexpected clients from his site. any recommendations?
Would you recommend I download and install Drupal on my current Win Host -or- shoud I look for a linux/unx host?
I have seen some decent hosts that include free Drupal installation. I don't want to mess with the installation right now.
I've been reading and reading throughout the site, 99.9% sure that this is an awesome resource. However, my current needs are for compatibility with MS-SQL 2000.
In searching through the forums, I read a lot of threads of how it was supported, then it wasn't, and a lot of "I don't know"s. But a lot of these threads go back to 2003...
So I am wondering if now, in mid-2005...Is MS-SQL 2000 supported currently? If so, please tell me the proper version to download, and if need be, then perhaps what code to edit on what pages.
Hi!
I read in the Feature overview:
"Personalization - A robust personalization environment is at the core of Drupal. Both the content and the presentation can be individualized based on user-defined preferences."
My question is about that if is possible that a user can see the content that this have selected. For example:
Structure Site:
|- Category 1
|- Category 2
|- Category 3
|- Category 4
Logging USER 1: This user have a index page only with your category preference: Category 1, 3
1) I need to create a simple online form (name, address, comment etc). This form should create PDF files with the online content and email it to a user. Is this very hard to setup in Drupal?
2) If PDF is very hard to setup (I'm a newbie) I would need to make a form that sends very clear and pretty HTML emails. Is this built in Drupal already?
