I would like to know how does Drupal and MySQL handle mega huge sites? I mean sites with tens of thousands of nodes and database with hundreds of megabytes? Are there limits to the size of a site with Drupal? Any experience or thoughts?
Just a general question. Is there a guideline as to how much you can charge for a site you developed in Drupal for a client? I can't obviously charge for code, since I'm taking it for free. So, I only charge for the setup and the customization, right?
How does the Drupal's licence system affect this issue? I understand that if I customize a module I have to make it public. How about the custom theme? Thanks!
My company has been looking around for quite sometime for a CMS (both open source and low level proprietary) for a news portal we are looking to develop. It was only recently someone in our office came across Drupal and I must say that I am mightily impressed. In my opinion it blows everything else away.
Is it just me or is it that the Project module gets a lot of users confused or complaining. I haven't been browsing these forums long ( about 3-4 weeks) and I have seen my fair share of threads on how Project Module is giving them trouble one way or another. I have never had any personal experience with this module so I decided to try her out.
Drupal newbie, yes I am. But I'm proficient in ond-school HTML. Here's my problem. I want to add static content to specific pages. And I don't mean a node with all of the header information attached. I want to make nice looking text just like the homepage of drupal.org. How do I specify content in these PHP files and get the text to the right page when the pages themselves seem to be nodes?
The documentation is great, but I'm missing something obvious I think.
