Bitflux CMS

http://www.freeflux.net has been opened to public recently.

And here users can create and manage their own bitflux accounts at ease.

This would be a good opportunity to try the CMS before using it for personal purposes.

Does drupal have something similar ?

trouble trying to create content

I am trying to create content for my website. I select the create content function and then input content (title, body), but when I go down the page to select the category for the content, I am unable to select a category, since each window shows none. I am not sure how to correct this issue. thanks

Really Really Really Basic Questions

I have a little bit of experience with a Drupal website at work. A tech guy set it up for us and I do some basic stuff like uploading images, etc.

I have a personal website that is managed by someone else that is not a Drupal site. If I wanted to change over to Drupal one day and do it from a Macintosh OS.9 system, is that possible?

Also, my current site has a mail function running through it that allows people to fill out a form (name, address, etc.) and make comments. Can I do this with Drupal?

Path alias - what's it really for?

This is what it says below the form: "Optionally specify an alternative URL by which this node can be accessed. For example, type "about" when writing an about page. Use a relative path and don't add a trailing slash or the URL alias won't work."

Is this only to have an alias or is this also something to help google to categorize the page better. I know google loves keywords in html file names. Can somebody clarify the use of this feature?
