When Drupal will be mysql 4.1.x complient

Recently a site of mine was totally destroyed after importing a backup produced with cron scheduled mysqldump.
The site was in Bulgarian and this is its address: http://www.starrydreams.com/. Here it is how it looked immediatly after the import - http://drupal.org/files/issues/sqldump.png - some of the characters were replaced with ",?".

New Forum Software

Just discovered this simple forum software

http://www.seo-board.com/

Perhaps this is something that could be more easily integrated than something that is bloat ware (cough PHPBB cough). :)

We are all aware that the forums in drupal do no good as forums aside from the minimal basics. Perhaps software like this will be a good source for ideas or someone can come up with a simple way to integrate it into templates as a temporary solution?

Proxy Support reloaded ?

Hello,
i'm new to drupal and i'have a problem with RSS feed. I know that they don't work if there is proxy server running as mentionned http://drupal.org/node/7881.

A look at HEAD version show that the probleme won't be solved in version 4.7.

My company (more than 10 000 users) is looking at the opportunity to migrate from a commercial CMS to Drupal but we don't understand why Drupal can't handle such a feature, also other CMS can do that.

Thanks,

David

A social network must allow home pages with html rather than just simple user profiles for users....

When you click on a user you get an ultra simple profile with a few lines of text. Is there any module for allowing user's to create their own home pages on drupal. Not their myareas that they log in to, but home pages so that when someone clicks on a user name, then they see the user's home page, which the user can customize with images, blogs, classifieds....and content from all the other modules, for the world to see.....not just for the user themself?

Cleaning the issues lists - is this okay? - please debate...

Hi all, sometimes, I look at the bug requests and issues on some modules.

Would you consider a good practice to change the status of the one-year-or-couple-of-months old issues that seems not to be revelant.

Example : Some guy has the latest version of drupal (4.4.0) and has a bug with the article module. Last updated : 1 year. Is this there for some reason or that a simple message like "update to the latest version ..." and close the status (or wont fix, watever) would do?

If yes, I'll close a couple!
If no, I'll leave them as is.

Making Menu Items for my pages.

I'm really new at Drupal - I have a problem and can't find a tutorial on this.

I have static pages - About Us, Products, Contact.

How the heck to I create links on the MAIN MENU to link these pages?

For some reason, this isn't obvious to me. I went to Administrotor > Menus

But in here what do I do? Add menu item? To what menu?

I want to add it About Us, Products, Contact to the MAIN MENU..but I don't see that.

Any help or if you know a tutorial that is specific to this, I would really appreciate it. I'm lost.

Thanks in advance.
