Category Images

Hi all,
sorry for possible dupes, I cannot find some note about the following issue.

Is there a module to manage images that are associated to categories? I would like a drupal installation that behaves like PHPNuke, where contents belongs to a category (would be more than one in Drupal), and each category has an associated image. Furthermore, each content would be shown with the image of the associated category on the right (would need to choose a main category in Drupal or alike).

Has anyone developed something like that?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

Use img-tags as node-title

Hi,

I tried to insert a

<img src='files/navi_abc.gif' />

as title for a node.
What I want to achieve is a navigation with gifs instead of text.

On the page the tag-brackets are urlencoded, so it doesnt work. But it is not far away ...

Is there a way to surround this urlencoding?
Or another easy way to insert gifs in the navi from the system (not just placing them in the template...)

Or is there a module that supports this? I.e. flexinode?

Thanks,
Juppi

Restrict direct URL view/download for images

Hi,

Thanks to drubeedoo for solving the issue of linking the files directory to a folder below my web folder at Private files

By Setting the drupal site as 'private - files transfered by drupal' , anonymous users should not be able to see the images. This is correct as if I browse the web site as anonymous, I will not be able to see the images using on my site's drupal pages

Taxonomy example help

I plan on making a site which focuses on custom built motorcycles. I would like to write articles on the mainly the engine and bike. I want people to be able to search by year, bike make, bike model, and engine name.

Glossary not displaying definitions

I am using the glossary module on 4.7 and when I open "?q=glossary", all the words (taxonomy) appear as an unordered list, rather than the word followed by the definition (description). When you click on one of the words, it goes to a page where the vocabulary can be managed, not the definition. You can click on one of the letters in the top, and it returns only those glossary terms that begin with that letter, but still as an unordered list.

Am I missing something? Has the functionality changed since 4.6.x? Should I submit this as an issue?
