I am new to Drupal and have attempted to both read up and search the forums for the answer to this particular question and, having come up empty, here we go:

Assume that I establish a Forum with multiple containers within containers and that I also establish mutliple roles. Can a certain container be made to be invisible/off-limits to a set of users with a particular role?

1) I'm trying to integrate Drupal with Moodle for a high school portal and I'd like to be able to use an existing student information database "dump" to generate a locked user table that includes a student id # field. I need a way to create queries based on the Drupal user id that I can call to create user-specific functionality from external student databases (these other tables contain stuff like contact, schedule and course information.) Any suggestions or warnings on adding a field to the user table?

I need a module to do social bookmarking, where users can add their bookmarks from the web (possibly import them) to the site, and then others can see/share their bookmarks...

When a bookmark already exists, the link appears as more popular than links that only one person has, etc...

Is there any module/modules that could do that?

Is there any way to promote 2 "taxonomy blocks" to homepage in the content area in 2 columns (left and right)?
I haved used taxonomy_block module with Dashboard module to build a Dashboard node with 2 columns of taxonomy and it looks great. However, when I tried to promote this node to homepage, it shows nothing but the node title. The reason is the homepage only shows teaser and Dashboard does not support teaser yet.
Is there any alternative to resolve this problem?
