i'm looking to use drupal as a database front end. I want to create a database of products that users can update and search by product, location etc.
Any info would be wonderful.

I recall reading a post from some-one who has a php snippet that would change the length of all posts automatically from say 800 to 600 without going in and having to edit the node for it to take affect. I cannot find this post, can anyone point me to it if they know of this method.

The idea: site content based on regional news. city A have a News only about A, site B, only news about B.., Roles groups users from city A, role A, users from city B, role B.... Content A,B,C... may be visible to all, but only users A role can vote on A news, B on B,....

I'd like to give a bit of advice to people seeking integration between Drupal and phpBB, honestly IMHO it's not worth it, although it is possible, I have now given up because it caused so many errors and time. I'd like to hear from people smoothly running phpBB on their site, not until you really start using the Drupal Forum module do you realise it's in ways better, simple, nicely integrated, works with everything else, etc. And there's one thing I can't stand about phpBB, It's Admin interface, well will be interesting to see what others think.
