Odd, I see so lost at this now.

Is anyone still working on the Excerpt module? It doesn't seem to have been touched since April 10, 2006 and there are a number of outstanding issues, some critical, with Excerpt module and 4.7. I'd know I'd be willing to contribute money to updating this module and there must be other people out there who depend on this module and would love to see it updated who would chip in. So if it has been abandoned, who else would be interested in sponsoring this module and would anybody be willing to work on it?

i want to have taxonomy term pages sorted by node reads in a time range.
for example:

i want nodes to have 100 hits today to be displayed before nodes with 1000 total hits all time.

is is possible to specify a time range for example 1, 2 or 3 days etc?

how do i do this with the views module?

i have been trying superteaser on 4.7.2 but it doesnt seem to work. I create, edit nodes but the teaser lenght is always 200 characters.

I want them to be 100 but changing the module settings doesnt seem to have any effect.

I'm a professional Taxonomist (think Biology) and am interested in using drupal's modules for implementing a biological taxonomy for providing a frontend to our databases and displaying information on numerous Grass species. I've tried to read through all of the comparisons, and i'm trying to work out which route would be best (Categories or Taxonomy modules). I'd also like to transfer a lot of our existing data structure and content into drupal, and am wondering if there are nice APIs that will let me do this.
