graphstat.module limitations...

If I understand this thread http://drupal.org/node/58457 correctly, the graphstat.module only shows the unique visitors graph for UNIQUE REGISTERED users and not overall UNIQUE VISITORS (i.e.--registered users + unregistered visitors). Is this correct or am I missing something.

I just want to know what the graphstat.module is actually looking at, what it's counting as a unique visitor. Anyone out there in Drupal land know the answer?

Thanks for the read,

A bit of a problem with storing /files directory outside of webdirectory.

Hi

I've been trying to use the advice some of you guys gave about private files and storing them outside the webdirectory to avoid people accessing them directly.

What I did was create a /files directory at /home/myaccount/files . I set permissions on that directory to 777. It's on the same level than my www directory.

Now when I enter this path as my file system path in Drupal, Drupal doesn't complain. So I assume that the directory exists and permissions are correctly set.

How do I restrict access to dowloading files for only some, not all users

I want to give everyone access to the whole site and I know how to use tac_lite module to restrict access to p arts.

But I want to restrict downloading capacity of some papers, specifically, a conference event, to only authorised users. I can turn off access to downloading uploaded files for all content--so this is only for a certain class of notes under eg the category 'conference 2006'--but leave it open for registered users.

Any ideas?

Migrating from Joomla/Mambo

Hi, I just write "Migrating from Joomla/Mambo" (http://drupal.org/node/80195). Since I am new in Drupal, I need your suggestion to make this article as clear as possible.
