I want to give a specific user role the right to edit other people's events. The basicevent module administration only allows granting rights for to edit one's own events. What can I do?
f5 Site Design has released (under the same terms as Perl itself) a backup script to automatically keep a 14 day cycle of backups - frequency determined by cronjob. This script only needs to be configured once, and it will automatically "see" new subsite databases under your sites/ directory every time the "collect information" mode is run.
The script has three modes:
1) collect information from all settings.php files under the configured "base" path of your Drupal multisite install
I just test the new Drupal installation for 4.8, here my suggestions to improve this section:
1. The installation says: Database must exist on your server before Drupal can be installed.
huh? you better help users automatically create the database! so, we just type the database then Drupal create for us! This page does not ask me WHICH DB SERVER I would like to use! MySQL or PostgreSQL?
2. After point 1 succesful then I goto Drupal welcome page. Mean I must create sample content. Why not just install sample data for users? It's will be easier for users.
