Internet of Things is the next big area in which web-development is expanding. A lot of new technologies have been coming to provide the back-end and front-end components of IoT. I see Django and the MEAN Stack being extensively used for this purpose.
However, I was wondering if anyone has used Drupal for an IoT application. I could find this session in DrupalCon Vienna where they demonstrated using Drupal 8 for an IoT application. However, they haven't shared their slides or videos.
I'm beginner in Drupal, I programming raw PHP, and I want to learn this :-)
I want to create a production present page (not webshop), which contains brand, categories and the products this succession.
Something like this (in hungarian): click Viastein in left side (this is a brand), showing the categories, click a category in page, then show the productions, click a production, open the data sheet.
Hi guys, I have some questions about the drupal license and, more in particular, about the license of a custom module.
Drupal use the GPL 2.0 license, that as far as I know should "force" all the code written _for_ drupal to be published under the same license (or an equivalent one), but this is applicable also on custom modules?
Im planning to sell a drupal module on some marketplace, but those require another license and I dont know what I can or cant do; but there are a lot o drupal modules on different marketplaces, so I guess there is a solution..
does anyone know some webmaster forums that have dedicated and active Drupal subforum(s)?
I had a look at Digital Point, but I was surprised that such a big forum has only one Drupal subforum, and most of its 800 something threads have 0 or 1 reply.
Since there seems to be a lot of discussion about Drupal infections, I thought I would document some procedures that we use to protect our sites.
We have about 110 Drupal and Joomla sites. I have come to the conclusion that no matter what you use, some hacker will find a way to get into the site to modify an existing drupal php file or plant a new file (usually mailers). Here is what we do.
