Drupal 7.x

In the description for the module, "Embed view shortcodes" it says:

"The syntax for embed block is [block id="block_id"][/block]"

I have tried to apply this shortcode to this page:

The shortcode I'm using is:

[block id="md-slider-14-block"][/block]

Hello!

After my update failed I restored the host files and the db. The outward-facing site still shows " We'll be back soon. We are currently updating our shop and will be back really soon. Thanks for your patience.". When I log in as admin I get no errors but I go to the same display. 

How do I get the site out of maintenance mode? 

We are a small Chicago nonprofit working out of Drupal 7 in need of someone with a background in design (plus Drupal, of course) to collaborate with our developer and help us update our landing page. This may end up being a fairly open-ended project based on how the work goes and other existing needs.
