Drupal 7.x

I am on Drupal 7.55 and we changed SMTP server for sending emails. I changed the SMTP server IP under admin/config/system/smtp (SMTP Authentication Support), but am not getting any e-mails. I added Mail debugger and Mail Logger modules to check if e-mails are being sent and I see a lot of entries under admin/reports/mail-logger for the "New release(s) available for" e-mail messages, but doesn't really give any error message. Under admin/reports/dblog, I do get error messages for the emails being sent, but only says "Error sending e-mail". Not very descriptive.

The search that comes with Drupal 7 is for site wide, is there a way to only have user be able to search through only their content?

How can i use mysql SET variables while using my PDO queries?

db_query('SET @x := 5,SET @y := 6, SELECT * from mytable')->fetchAll();

I have tried this and many variations of this statement with and without ':' etc, but it doesn't work.

Any assistance greatly appreciated. 

Site was taken down by host (Lonex) due to malicious content.  Attempting to scrub and update to 7.59 (late I know) and now receiving below updating error.

Hi!

After updating a multi-site, multi-language, to Drupal 7.59 (I have tried 2 times now), I failed to find why the front page and basic pages no longer render correctly. Logo and menu are still there, but thoses pages lost html header/css, the node itself and the footer as if the templates where losts... but they are still there?! I did multiple flushs and cron to no avail.

All other pages from custom content-type to views and page generated by custom modules work fine.

Usually other setup is called index. Trying to add meta name and need to add the code directly. Cannot seem to find my front page file.
