when drupal 7 will be released??

Hi everyone,i want to write a own module that suites my need in drupal 7 or say any architecture..
so wat all things i have to be through with?? lik any languages to be known??
pls guide me ..

I'm working on a book setup, and wondering if there are any good modules for extending the Books module. Of particular interest would be importing a structured document (say, XML) into a book format to form the skeleton of a book. Or heck, even the content.

Tips on any other cool book related modules would also be welcome!

I understand the Drupal 6 menu system does not support dynamically-generated tabs. (See here for example: http://drupal.org/node/903742)

Does anyone know whether this will be possible in Drupal 7?

I want to create a event and venue listings site and thinking about using Drupal. Can someone suggest suitable Drupal theme and modules that are available to achieve it? As a reference, I am looking to have features similar to http://www.zvents.com/ and http://eventful.com/.

I've seen this done in every version but 7.x.

I was thinking I could make a template for just my article nodes using "page-article.tpl.php" or "page--article.tple.php" but neither seems to work.
