Drupal 7.x

so i downloaded and installed the paradise theme. and From the beginning the primary links are nowhere to be found. Ive used firebug to search around the page and see if they are under something and no luck.

Hi, I would like to create a block containing links to external web sites. I have tried following the method here : http://geeksandgod.com/tutorials/computers/cms/drupal/creating-simple-li... but can't get it to work (perhaps because CCK is no longer supported maybe?).

I think this is (as stated in the title) an easy thing to do, but I can't figure it out (being a newbie).
