Who is using D7 on a production site?

Anyone here using drupal 7 on production sites yet? I am considering using it for a new community site I am building. D6 is much more stable and mature, but I'm not planning to launch my site for another 6 months or so. I would just need mostly basics, like views, panels, og, forums, event calendars, and whatnot. There are a lot more modules available for D6, (something like 3800 to 600), but quite a few modules are made redundant with D7. I'm pretty comfortable with D6, but I was playing around with the D7 beta and really liked the interface improvements.

D7 User Registration Form

In Drupal 7, I'm trying to customize the user registration form.

I've added fields such as first/last name, which works great.

However, when an Anonymous user visits the registration page, it only asks them for:
Username
Email Address

I'd like it to ask for everything (ie. first/last name) which you see on the Edit page (once they've registered).

I can't seem to find anything explaining this...

Quizlet.com like website on Drupal

Hello,

I have a question. Is it possible to create Quizlet.com like website for my local language community using Drupal? I have some experience with Drupal 6 - built 2 web sites on it.

However, those 2 websites has no or very little code customization.

Can't add modules after installing Drupal7beta2 on Holistic/HotDrupal server

Hi. I've installed a drupal7beta2 test area on my site in its own subdirectory. The installation seemed to go through fine. I can add pages and edit content. But when I tried to add a new module I run into permission problems even though I've set my folders to 755 and files to 644 (even tried with 777 permissions).

These are the error messages in my log file:

But I'm still getting this permissions related error when I try to install new modules:

The specified file temporary://files9tju6 could not be copied, because the destination directory is not properly configured. This may be caused by a problem with file or directory permissions. More information is available in the system log. I've also created a tmp folder in my drupal7beta2 folder.

I looked in the report logs and had these messages:

site url always redirects to custom 404 page

Installed Drupal 7 beta 1 with no issues on a Windows server, and apart from some issues with not recognising the Mysql installed on the server, the installation appeared fine.

On going to the test site's home page by clicking on the top left house icon or typing in the url into the browser (uxn.mergingminds.net) I noticed that it wouldn't show the sites home page ( http://uxn.mergingminds.net/?q=node/1) but actually the custom 404 page that i had created.
