how to hide main menu on drupal 7 from annonymous users

i tried this on my own and tried to search the answer on the website.
I am trying to hide the "home" link which, i believe is part of the main menu. I have actually disabled that block (the "main menu block" is now disabled, which, if I understand correctly, means it will not show on any region of the screen).

creating a list view?

using drupal 7
I am interested in creating a view like an excel sheet. the first column on the left will display node names, and each additional column will display various properties related to the node (ie ID number of the node will be one column, creator of the node another column, time it was created, etc).

can anyone help in doing that?

thanks

make login block disappear for annonymous users on drupal 7

using drupal 7 beta2

I want the login block hidden for annonymous users who enter the homepage. for anyone who wants to login to the website, they will go to a specific address (like www.site.com/admin or something like that)

how do I do that?

thanks

Switching themes from page to page

I'm a new Drupal user who has been testing Drupal 7 for a potential new site for a few weeks now, but there is something that is really puzzling me. If you can have multiple themes enabled in the Appearance admin page, and you can assign different blocks to different themes, why is it not possible to switch themes using the core modules? I hope someone can correct me, but it looks as if you either have to use the Views module, or install ThemeKey. Perhaps there are others.

I have two separate data sets one is a "year make & model database" the other is a "automotive parts/product catalog". Both data sets are in .csv, .xls or .ods

Drupal 7 & Hierarchical Select...

I have been reading a lot on drupal these days plus testing to pull off a new D7 site. One feature that I can't seem to find a solution for is Hierarchical Select. I am sure the author will port his module to D7 but at this moment in time I don't see it.

So is there another way to pull off dependent drop downs in D7 that I have missed?

Thanks for your time in advance.
