I am trying to sync a mailing list which is outside drupal to make comments if the same subject is seen again. What is the best method to create a comment programatically?
Having previously attempted and failed to restrict access to specific node content for anonymous users, I am now attempting what I would consider to be a more simple and elegant solution to restricting anonymous access.
I'd like to use different themes in a version 7 install. I'm a real Drupal noob, trying to figure out what works. It looks like the themekey module might do what I want to do, but I'm not sure -- I'm also concerned about it being production ready soon -- I don't see the #D7CX pledge on that one.
What's the best way to do this? I want to be able to use different themes for different parts of the site, creating related looks with unique attributes as well.
I'm about to start building a brand new site. It will take a few months to complete -- I've got about 1500 pages to migrate. Should I use Drupal 6 or 7? What's the percentage that 7 will be totally production solid 3 months from now?
I'd like the new features, and to avoid one future upgrade, but the site has to be bulletproof.
This question is so basic, I'm embarrassed to ask, but here it goes.
I'm a current Joomla user, but find the flexibility of Drupal more in line with what I'm trying to do. I've looked around online, but either there aren't many tutorial for Drupal 7 yet, or I'm looking in all the wrong places. Either way I'm here now.
For now my goal is to create a site where I want the user to be able to view content based on city, then drill down to neighborhoods in that given city, and have content displayed specific to that neighborhood.
