Comments Promoted to Front Page?

Is it possible to have comments promoted to the Front page? I noticed that forum topics can be promoted, but I can't figure out how to promote comments to the front page. Thanks.

Taxonomy Permissions in Drupal 7

I'm confused about what the Edit terms in [vocabulary] taxonomy permission does. I thought it would limit a user's access to a vocabulary but I've run the following tests and that has not been the result.

Here are the steps taken:
Go to People > Permissions > Taxonomy
Tick Edit terms in [Category] for role News Editor
Tick Delete terms in [Category] for role News Editor
Save Permissions
Logout
Login as News Editor
Click Structure in toolbar > Receive message: You do not have any administrative items.

Site Out - Upgrade problem 7b3 to rc1

Hello,

I'm maintaining my Drupal website (www.fxseedtrading.com) since 2 years and although i have basic skills in php, i never had such a big problem.

My site was running fine in French/English with version 6.19.
I upgraded to d7b2 then d7b3 : it was an error for me because lot of modules (i18 for exemple) are not ready to d7 and i don't have enough php/html skills to do what i want for my site. Under d7b3 my site was running fine, although with less functions.

The real trouble began when i upgraded from d7b3 to d7rc1. I used the same was as usual and followed upgrade.txt. When i ran update.php, instead of an update page i got locked on an install page! I stopped there and looked my htaccess config, settings.php.... Instead of resolving the install/upgrade problem i now have errors in database.... and site definetely out...

Now i'm here and when i connect to my site www.fxseedtrading.com with/without the update.php i have a page with these errors.

* Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in Database::parseConnectionInfo() (line 1368 of /homez.194/fxseedtr/www/includes/database/database.inc).

Install succeeded but no picture shown in article

Hi all,
I am brand new with Drupal, i use the tutorial of Todd Tomlinson which appears pretty good.
I just finished the install procedure on my Ubuntu PC running MYSQL and Aapache and it works.
The first action, creating a simple page, went OK. But then creating an article with an image gives a problem.
At first, the image was not uploaded at all. Becase the image wasn't too big, I figured out that something elese was wrong and I channged the permission for the default/directory to rwxr-xr-x, so that the user can write into the directory.

Should I use Drupal 6 or 7 rc1??

I am about to develop a website for my client. I just need to know if it's ok to go with Drupal 7 rc1. Or should I still stick with Drupal 6 until the final release of D7??

Installing D7 RC1 on top of MAMP fails

Using the install walkthrough rather than directly editing the settings.php file, the procedure gets hung up. I've reopened an existing bug #873114: PDOException: SQLSTATE[42000] when installing Drupal. Here's the text of the error I'm encountering:
