WYSIWYG in 7x????

I'm new to the Drupal project and have spent the last couple of days getting familiar with Drupal 7. I really like many of the features and flexibility that it offers and I totally give everyone props for dedicating the time and effort that it has taken to develop the core and all the modules. However, with that being said, I'm really disappointed by the WYSIWYG editor situation.

At the moment, I have a client who would like a site with a robust content management system. I was excited to offer Drupal as a solution, but was disappointed to have to chase down a solution for something as common as uploading a local image into a blog post. As a developer, I would much rather prefer to spend my time customizing sites based on my individual clients' needs rather than enabling what every blogging/Wordpress interface offers standard. Granted, installing the correct modules may not take too long once you've become satisfied with a setup (I have yet to reach that point), but that time all has to get tacked on to the cost analyses at the end of the day...

Installation instructions question [Solved}

A simple question, I think. The instructions say to move the un-compressed files "up one level" to the web directory.

Undefined index errors....

I recently went through the painful process (mainly b/c I'm not a Drupal God like some users) of upgrading my Drupal 6 site to 7. I won't bore you the details, but I got it working.

Now, I'm getting some errors like this when I run the update script upon adding some new modules. This is the message I got when adding the Webform module via the 'Install via URL' option and such. Any ideas? However, it's talking about the maintenance theme (which does look weird when I see it).

Setting a fluctuating default field value

I am trying to figure out the easiest way of setting a default field value (and disable the field from being modified) without needing a privileged user to manually set this at later times when it needs to be changed.

Specifically, what I'm looking to do is use a view which retrieves content of a given type (through arguments) in the order created (descending), thus the first one should be the one to ideally be used in this case.

I would like to have a node reference on a form, to the most recent of an already created, but separate, content type. The title displays al the relevant information about it (via auto_nodetitle, and the type's simplicity). In the D6 version of this site, I've needed to disable the end users from modifying the field and make it mandatory so when staff changes something (the status of it in this case -- it's paired up with

Fantasy Sports site project Q (beginner)

Greetings Drupal folk!

I am a relative Noob to Drupal and very excited to now be a part of the community. I have been playing with version 7 here for a week or so - making baby steps forward. However, I've got a few basic questions and would very much appreciate your guidance.

I'm aiming to develop a 'fantasy sports' style website. (A site where users first join groups, then input data, and lastly have the ability to check back and view everyone's input data). Which add-on modules may best assist me in creating said 'fantasy sports' site?
