Drupal 7.x

Hello,

I'm a complete newbie concerning Drupal...
is it possible to create a website using Drupal on local computer (xammp) and then upload it to the hosting or is it only possible to create website directly on the hosting after you install drupal on the server?

Is it better to use Drupal 6.2 or Drupal 7, as I saw that many of Modules and Themes have only been developed for 6.2 for now.

I am brand new to drupal, and just installed it in a subdirectory of my website to play around with before making a site to go 'live.'

I installed CKEditor as the way was told on the readMe file. It works as the way it should but the only thing is that when i want to create or edit a content I get two times CKEditor one after the other one instead of just one editor. It actually does'nt matter which one I use. Both of them do the job. But I need to know how can I remove just one of them?

This is probably a pretty simple question. But right now my page stretches and the background messes up when you edit the size of the browser: www.contactcon.com

Could somebody please helpme fix this? I'm relatively new to site designing so if its something too complicated I'll just scratch the background image. Thanks!
