Boy oh boy. I wonder if the tar is hot enough and there are enough chickens for the feathers they will need. Because after this post I will probably be excommunicated.
Views 3, the latest version....changed everything. Not sure if for the better or for the worst as I am still under the effects of the vicodin pills I had to take to calm myself down from the shock. I am sure it is all for the better....though at the moment I feel like Steve Jobs came into my house and hit me upside the head with a baseball bat....(Oh yeah, I went there.)
Here are some highlights:
A) Views 3 was developed ONLY with Seven in mind. That means that any of us using anything else as admin themes are now left to figure out what to do next. ThemeKey'd it I guess until the Sages get around to figuring out maybe the rest of the world is not a "seven sort of crowd".
B) New UI design: Maybe I was so used to the old UI that this new one comes as a cold shower, but I think radically changing the UI is such a drastic way exhibits a disconnect between programmers and users. Those of us prototyping Drupal 7 distros just got out priorities thrown into a blender because of this. Now we need to stop everything and deal with this issue in order to get back to work...Just what the doctor ordered.
