Drupal 7.x

I am using Genesis theme on two Drupal 7 sites. For the most part the block reaction simply does not work in either the recommended or the Dev version of the theme. It does not allow you to restrict view of blocks by role or by page. It does not even work if you use a PHP returns true option. It simply shows the block on every page and role, whatever setting is used.

I am NOT using Context, it is not installed, though it was installed once.

Block reaction works for other themes, including Fusion, which has some similar code.

I am trying to apply a patch to the rpx module on my linux server because of some errors I'm having using puddy as the interface.

I am trying to use the following command from the root directory as super user;

patch -p1 < path/menu_token-1067522-2.patch

For the life of me, I cannot apply this patch this way.

Would somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong?

I'm looking for a way to populate a field in a content type with a drop down menu of another content type.

So I have one content type called product categories, then another content type called products. I'd like to create a drop down menu in products so that you can just choose a product category. I could create one manually, but the list of categories is constantly being updated so I'd like one that does it on the fly.

Any ideas?

I have several sites in Drupal and they really don't rank that well. I have built a new site in D7 and it gives me no visitors even after few weeks. I have posted around 20 articles there. Normally google would already send me traffic, but not with this site.

I have seen it opens extremely slow,it takes around 13 seconds to open a new page. When opening another site made in Joomla it takes only 5 seconds, and pure html on average takes around 4 seconds.

I'm facing some problems with all my Drupal 7 sites:
Loading the page the first time after at least 5 or 10 minutes results in extremly long loading times. The (poorman's) cron is disabled, cronjobs are executed automatically once a day. I enabled js and css-caching, but even without it, the issue is still there.
It's not the loading of the page itself or the css/js/image-files, but the request that takes seconds:
