Drupal 7.x

I'm pretty new at this, but have searched for similar topics on Drupal and elsewhere with no luck, so hope I'm not wasting anyone's time.
I have a pretty good looking site up and running on my local server, but when I upload it to the remote server, everything is "larger" - ie images that were 250 px are now 270 px (and now slightly pixilated etc), CSS fonts are larger. It's all relative...everything is just scaled up in size. Very bizarre...
Any suggestions greatly welcomed!

I have been trying reinstall modules by using devel and I have got now:
Fatal error: Class name must be a valid object or a string in .../common.inc on line 7394
the same error is when I try using drush.

Anyone know how can I repair it ?

I do not want to run into legal issues... yet.

on www.harmonieblanden.be i extended the user profiles with some extra fields. Members of our brassband indicate in their profile wich instrument they play. The can enter up to 5 instruments. I created a view on this to populate the 'Muzikanten' page in the website. Now, when i user has entered multiple instruments, the user also shows up multiple times in this list. I need some 'distinct' in the query, but can't find the right place place to make this work... any ideas?

We are looking for developers for 2 intermediate/advanced projects.

The projects will be used as modules for a running Drupal 7 website.

The first project will be used to manage events/events registration in our organization (the requirements are between intermediate and fairly advanced).

The second project will be used to send e-mail and SMS announcements to our members through an approval workflow (the requirements are easy to intermediate).

We require good code commenting and a user and a developer manuals.

I ran into a snag where I'm not sure how to implement a particular set of terms. It is a large list with over 500 terms. From the content field I would like to be able to select one or more items of from the term list.

I have found the easiest way to present the terms to the content form is using a select list of check box's. However this makes for a very long selection list when creating content.
