Drupal 7.x

Trying to use Panels to create in the left panel 20 set positions with a set budget for those 20 items. In the right panel about 600 items to select from with each item having an assigned price. The object is for users to select 20 of the 600 items within the set budget.

Can anyone help me with ideas on how to accomplish this or ideas on how to do this?

Any and all help would be very much appreciated.

Hi, I am building a site for a business that would like their daily specials to display in a sidebar block. I would like to build a view that displays 1 of 7 nodes depending on what day it is ("Monday's specials," for example). The 7 nodes will change once in a while, but not often. Can I do this with views contextual filters in D7? How?

I'd like to get the value of a textfield or textarea before i submit. I need it to use it in a link param, link juste above the textfield.
i've tried $form['step1']['addresses'][$i]['address_fieldset']['street'] or $form['step1']['addresses'][$i]['address_fieldset']['street']['#value"]

I just installed D7 and don't know what module(s) or theme is best for setting up my site in the style of a yahoo or Google group. My site's primary function is for a writer's group membership to submit their documents for members to download, print out and critique. I am visually disabled and find it extremely difficult to browse all the forums and knowledge bases to derive answers. There is an extensive list of modules, and many themes and cannot decide which is ideal for my needs.

I'm wondering if someone can give me some insight on conditional (automatic) formatting of images. As a drupal newb, I'm not sure if that vocabulary even makes sense, so let me explain what I want to do...

Ideally, when users submit an image with an article, drupal checks the dimensions of the image. If it's a portrait-style image, it displays as a portrait (smaller, and floated to either left or right) in the teaser and post. If it's landscape, it displays full width

Hi all,
I'm playing with my first installation of drupal and I would like to set the height of the footer of the bartik theme.
Is it possible to set it from the admin/configuration panel? if not, setting it directly from CSS is recommendable?
