Memory Error...?

Okay, I have been adding Modules and Languages to my site and now every time I try to access the modules and language sections of Drupal, I keep getting this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 18874368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /hermes/bosweb/web152/b1522/ipg.piddlefacecom/drupal/includes/form.inc on line 1763

or...

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 18874368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 52 bytes) in /hermes/bosweb/web152/b1522/ipg.piddlefacecom/drupal/includes/bootstrap.inc on line 2882

Should public files be allowed in an article belonging to a private group?

I have set up OG and added two file fields to the article content type, one being public and one being private.

Now consider the following:
When I set a OG node to private and I add a file to the public file field, the node is not displayed for non-members. However, the public file can be downloaded if you have the URL.

I know that it works as designed, but on the other hand I was wondering if this could lead to misunderstandings, as the description states:

Panels node override layout AND template suggestion

Wondering if this is possible:

I'm loading a node in a colorbox iframe and have stripped sidebars etc using suggestions. This is done through the URL:
node/[nid]?width=750&height=650&iframe=true&template=iframe. My theme's template then points to the appropriate stripped 'iframe' template. Perfect.

But now I want to use Panels to structure the regular node page of the same content type, without affecting the 'iframe' template. I'm adding more info, two columns etc etc, but this is affecting the iframe.

Please help me understand the administration intention of Drupal

I'm very new to Drupal and just getting to grips with it. This is my first CMS that I've looked at so I don't have any prior experience. What I'm struggling to understand is with the administration side. When I login as administrator, I am able to customise and change the very administration menus I have access to. E.g. not only can I add and update menu items to the menu presented on the public website, I can update the menu item shown in the administration toolbar that allows me to edit the former.

Help: Cannot see pages added as secondary links

I've just installed a new setup of Drupal 7.2 to have a play with. I have created a few pages that have top level menus along with sub pages that fall under these menus. However, I cannot see my sub-page menus on my site.

DrupalCommerce vs WordPress+Prestashop - please help me choosing

Good day to all,

Cross-posted to WordPress forum.

Our company (well, technically, a charity) is going to upgrade his website. So far we identify two candidates:

  • WordPress 3.x+Prestashop. WordPress for the corporate side, Prestashop for the e-Commerce side. We have people mildly proficient (i.e.: no coding) for the two parts.
  • Drupal Commerce (Drupal 7-based). The natural evolution of Ubercart (one of the two leading e-commerce module for Drupal), it is still in beta. We are planning deployment by the end of the year.

One may say betting on beta software (Drupal Commerce) is not a good idea.

One may also say that WordPress is not a powerful enough CMS for e-commerce site (and that is why we are planning Prestashop) but technological history taught me that a widely-implemented less-than-perfect solution wins over a reputable but less-implemented solution (think Flash RAM vs other initially more powerful solid state memories). WordPress may be weaker, but its rate of adoption means it is getting better faster than Drupal (IMHO), even though the latter is supposed to be better. Alright, one may say that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, but still...
