I'm finally ready to purchase a hosting plan and I'm finding that choosing a good one is harder than I had originally thought, even harder than getting the hang of Drupal itself. Although I eventually plan on a VPS, I'm wanting to start out with a shared plan and see how it goes.
With that being said, It would seem that almost every hosting company has its faults, with most being deal-breakers (e.g. very-bad reviews, lack of PHP-5.3.x, lack of CPanel, etc...). In fact, I have only found one host that looks ideal, Hot Drupal (hotdrupal.com), though I can't seem to find any information on whether they have static IPs or not.
I had submitted a question form on their website last weekend and have not yet received a reply, which would seem like a bad sign in of itself. However, there seems to be some pretty good reviews here on Drupal.org and everything else looks great.
Is anyone here familiar with Hot Drupal and if so, do their shared hosting plans offer static IPs?
Due to the seemingly great reviews of Hot Drupal, I'm assuming that my "contact submission" just fell through the cracks. However, I'm needing to purchase a hosting plan soon, thus I will likely go with IX web hosting if I can't figure out whether Hot Drupal offers static IPs for their shared hosting plans (unless of course someone can point out a reason why I shouldn't go with IX).
