KKFI 90.1 FM is an independent, non-commercial, non-profit, 501(c)3, volunteer-based, community radio station. Our vision is to provide a broadcast voice to the voiceless...to those in our community who are otherwise un-represented or under-represented by mainstream media. Our eclectic music programming includes blues, jazz, reggae, rock, hip hop, alternative, Hispanic and world music. Our local and national public affairs programming includes a variety of issues.
KKFI currently has a single website developed in PHP at http://www.kkfi.org. The station would like to re-design the website for the purpose of attracting more listeners and supporters. This would be accomplished by providing more timely and detailed information about radio shows, programmers/DJs, programs guests and topics, music show themes, and station activities
and events.
In general, we want our website to provide KKFI’s listeners and supporters with timely and detailed information about the radio shows, as well as the activities and events of the station. Attracting more website visitors to browse the site for a longer time periods could increase the number of listeners and financial supporters. The website would aggregate information about the 70 local and national radio shows.
