Accessing account info via perl?

Basically I am trying to tie my mailserver (CommuniGate Pro) into the listhandler and mailhandler modules. Basically what I have currently is that CommuniGate maintains a mailing list that the users can subscribe to via their profile (modified from the ezmlm-admin.sh script). The problem this creates is that the CommuniGate server is set to only allow people on the list to send messages to the list which means that unless people are subscribed to the CommuniGate list they cannot post messages via the list.

Email address should not be revealed in contact form postings.

When contacting other Drupal.org users, using the nice contact form, YOUR OWN email address is the one that is appearing as the FROM address. Even if this may be desireable in many cases, I think a small change should be considered here. We should definetely have the flexibility of not revealing this.

After all, that is one of the potential benefits by not revealing that email address elsewhere, and the email address used for our logins here is not necessarily the one we want the party we contact to use. Can be many reasons for this. Most modern communicators are using several email addresses which they should be able to use as they please. As how this works is not obvious for any person at the time of signing up,

In the default text of such notification messages, the drupal.org system puts a link back to the user that send the email. So if that user has enabled others to email him/her, it is not necessary to give any email address at all, only point to use the contact for for the reply. Then, in the text, one can choose when to give away the email address.

Anyway, the text in the profile is slightly misleading as long as the email is set as the sender in the contact form. The description here is currently (from the MyAccount/Edit page):

"Personal contact form:
Allow other users to contact you by e-mail via your personal contact form. Note that your e-mail address is not made public and that privileged users such as site administrators are able to contact you even if you choose not to enable this feature."

Drupal.org forum posts per page limit reached and breaks forum listings - ideas on why?

Has anyone else noticed that this thread

http://drupal.org/node/32360

Breaks the forums recent post function and cookies? You cannot follow the thread any longer because new posts are not marked or the marking disappears on entering the thread. Clicking on the "new" link also does not bring you to the second page but or to the anchor but to the first post.

Unable to save theme settings

I downloaded drupal cvs last night to play around with it and see whats coming and I noticed I am unable to save theme settings, global or specific to the theme.

Specifically, I am trying to modify the "Toggle display" settings. Unclicking Primary and Secondary links and clicking "User pictures in comments" then save shows it as changed. However, if I goto a different page then go back to that settings page it shows them as their defaults. Issue or am I missing something?
