Link to a "complete" features list from the 4.7.0 announcement.

I suggest providing a link to a "complete" features list for 4.7.x on the 4.7.0 release post. (not a "new in 4.7 list, but a bullet-list "presentation" with brief descriptions of what Drupal can do as of version 4.7.x).

Good for newcomers and people coming here after finding the release information on various sites, but also for those of us here that has not been following the 4.7 development too closely.

download of documents to read offline

It would be nice if Downloads get the section Documents where you can download the API and different parts of the handbook.

WHAY IS DRUPAL.ORG SEARCH BOX IS NOT WORKING?

I TRIED TO SEARCH IN DRUPAL SITE FOR ADMIN LOGIN WHILE SITE IS OFFLINE BUT, IT IS NOT WORKING.

ALSO, DRUPAL. ORG LOOKS MISSY IN IE 7 BETA

Theme display: proposal for change

Perhaps there is merit in presenting the themes differently?

  • Theme name:
  • Developed by:
  • Version / build number:
  • Theme engine (if any):
  • Columns: 1, 2, 3
  • Layout: fixed, ice, liquid
  • Source order: 123, 213, 312, etc
  • Tableless: yes, no
  • Known browser problems: IE/Win, IE/Mac, FF/Win etc etc

This will make the choice considerably easier. Also a mandatory thumbnail of the default look would be good.

Thanks

Contributed module issues on drupal.org

I have three (3) issues with http://drupal.org/project/Modules. Does anyone know what's going on?

If any parts of the below comments have already been submitted as issues, kindly post links to them at this thread. Thank you! :)

Issue 1

As I recall from a few days ago, there were three (3) options for listing all the contributed modules for Drupal versions 4.7.x, 4.6.x, etc.

For example, contributed modules for version 4.7.x could be listed from 3 options as follows:
(1) alphabetical (this is the original way modules were listed)
(2) by category (for example, if you chose the e-commerce category, you'd get all the e-commerce related modules)
(3) by latest update (for example, the most recently updated contributed module would be listed at the very top and the module with the oldest update would be listed at the bottom)

I thought these enhancements to drupal.org were fantastic, but options (2) by category and (3) by latest update are both gone. :(

Issue 2

In addition, most of the contributed modules are all now appearing in some random non-alphabetized order when I believe it should be an alphabetized list. I've got Atom at the top and Selenium at the bottom. The list starts out alphabetized but then one starts finding modules beginning with a's, b's, and c's all over the place when they should clearly be at the beginning and near the top. For example, Advanced menu item settings is near the bottom and is listed after modules beginning with p's, t's, o's, etc.

Idea: certified modules, themes etc.?

Construct a Drupal web-site is a hard task especially for non-developer. Hopefully I don't call myself non-programmer. But even for developer the problem begins when trying to choose in hundreads of modules the right thats needed.
