Confirmed as "bug"?

Posting it here for some feedback before deciding to file a feature request.

Wouldnt it be practical if it was possible for users with a specific role to tick off a "verified as bug" mark on issues filed as "bug report"? That coudl then be shown in a separate column in the issue tracker queue page, not having to open every one and read to find out which are indeed bugs.

This can be useful in many respects. Would enable many people to save time and unnecessary page loads when checking for bugs and not "anything reported as a bug".

Has something changed about user "Track"? on drupal.org??

My posts under "track" are now ranked according to creation date and not "last post" date.

I noticed this about 3-4 days ago. I still have "new" links under number of replies but they don't come to the top anymore. I just found a new message on the Team Sugar thread but it was listed on page 3 of my track tool, it hadn't risen to the top.

Distinction between New and Updated modules

The first time I checked the Modules >> Browse by Date section of Drupal.org, I was baffled by the amount of (what I thought were) new modules pouring in - until I realised they were not at all new: by far the most of the "modules-of-the-day" are simply updates.

Wouldn't it make sense to distinguish between Really New Modules on the one hand and updates on the other hand? I'm not so much interested in Update 4.334334 Of Esoteric Module So-And-So, but I would definitely like to have quick access to Really New Modules.

Narrowing the SEARCH

It may have been suggested,

As I am fairly new, and I am comparing products, but prefer Drupal, I find is difficult to look for modules based on functionality using search.
Currently if I search for a feature I am interested in )realty, ebay, phpbb) I find many forum/discussion posts which although helpful, are not what I am looking for (all modules which mention ebay for instance)
I think it would be very helpful if there was a search spicifically for the modules, or a way of narrowing the search overall to a spicific area (modules, theme, forums, support).

Contact form not accessible

Trying to contact a user on Drupal.org I get the message

"You cannot contact more than 3 users per hour. Please try again later."

I did not use the contact form over the past days, cleared my drupal.org cookie without result and tried a few users all with the same result.
