Drupal 6.x

If I type in mydomain.com maintenance-page.tpl.php is used. But if I type in mydomain.com/dksde or (any random URL), the page.tpl is used with an offline message. How do I get it to use the maintenance-page.tpl.php all the time?

I have two Drupal/Ubercart commerce sites that are going through a makeover. I want to remove "Promote to front page" from all existing products. I have set it that newly added products will not get the tag.

Is there any easy way to make a bulk change, even an sql hack would be usefull.

Hi,
I have changed my website to a new domain and server. I can navigate throught my content, however and after login I cann´t access to admin pages. Any error is showed, only blank page.

What I did was upload a new.htcaccess, delete the chache tables, uncommet on settings.php the line "Base URL (optional)". $base_url (replacing example.com with my site).

I don´t know what can i do. Any idea please??

I have searched every post on this topic and still haven't found the solution for this problem, so I'm starting a new thread.

When I attempt to run update.php, I get a 404 Page not found page (The requested page could not be found).

• Yes, the file is there
• I played with permissions (644, 744, 700, 777)
• The server is running PHP 5.3, so I tried
  1. set 'cgi.fix_pathinfo=1' in php.ini
  2. leave doc_root commented out (php.ini also)

• Disabled all contrib modules
• Uninstalled inconsequential contrib modules (like admin menu)
• Reverted to Garland theme
• Turned off Clean URLs
• Changed update_free_access to TRUE
• Cleared cache (it wasn't cacheing anyway)
• Rebuilt content permissions as per https://drupal.org/node/1666676#comment-7218220
• I also tried creating a subdomain with a fresh install and update.php works for that, so it's not the server
• Tried using a backup copy of the database, still doesn't work

Some details:

• Server is running PHP 5.3.23; Apache version 2.2.24
• Error log has this entry: [Wed Aug 14 09:00:58 2013] [error] [client xxx] File does not exist: /home/energy/public_html/500.shtml
