We have been told by a couple of Drupal developers that once Drupal 8 is live, versions of Drupal 6x will not longer be supported? We are most concerned about security udpates and platform stability and understand the clients would not have access to new features. But we cannot recommend to our clients to stay in Drupal (only a few non-profits we support who cannot afford to upgrade apply) if there is a high danger if security breaches and instability.
Can someone please clarify this for us?

I'm having this issue for quite some time now.

Eventhough nodes are created by verified authors with a username, the author is always set to Anonymous when created or updated. This is not the case for me however, being the superadmin (user 1). When I create a node, the author of it is set correctly.

This goes for D6 and D7.

What could be the cause of this behaviour?

This site is running Drupal 6 and recently had the core and all modules updated to the most current versions. CK Editor is in use. Prior to this a user on the forum could click "Quote" to respond to a post and the quote would appear when the post was published. Recently the quoted post no longer appears.

I'm looking for a module that will automatically load a message or form when the website is first accessed by the user (similar to how a cookie disclaimer functions). I have found modal forms and popup suite modules but they do not mention an auto pop feature.

I am having a site and I want to put it on two different servers.
One in India and other one in US. Since most of the visitors on my site are from India and US.
Now I want the visitors from US should get the site loaded from US server and visitors from India should get the site loaded from Indian server.
