My current website is: www dot bs-gc dot net
e107 is fantastic; I love it and use it for most of my other websites.
It is very easy to use considering I don't know html, php, javascript, etc.
I made the theme from scratch, exactly copied from an existing static page.
e107 is based around the standard 'news/articles/forum' model. However, for this particular site, I'm now actually thinking it might be better if a more fluid, organic model was utilised, with the emphasis on blogs, commenting and tagging; this might encourage the children and teachers to use it more as a fun, interactive resource than a 'repository of resources'. And I can easily imagine how Drupal can facilitate this type of use.
Plus, I'm very drawn to drupal's ability (add-on module) to provide every user with their own upload folder. And its AJAX/web2.0 features and 'feel' seem to be way ahead of the other CMS. I also remember reading that there is a moodle bridge (I know about the DrupalEd project, but feel moodle is still the best option at the moment). Additionally, the 'multi-site' capability might be handy for an associated alumni site, saturday school, summer school, etc (not too sure what 'multi-site' is, but I guess it is the ability to have seperate sites without reinstalling everything several times?)
BUT I also need to keep the following features from the traditional 'model':
