I have a pre-production site and I expect a large flow of traffic shortly after launch, so I want to be sure I've optimized everthing I can before that happens. I'm finding it difficult to guesstimate the projected server load, which makes it hard to determine the optimum MySQL configuration (among other things). I'm sure many people have been in this position before.
Does anybody know of a way to simulate a large number of random simultaneous users? Unauthorized users only would be fine.
I run a fairly large site that is a mixture of Wordpress, Vbulletin, and a couple other scripts working alltogether.
I am looking for someone that could help me determine if Drupal will fit the bill and If it will fit the bill, I am going to look to hire someone to assist on a migration.
I haven't had time to really research this product, but I have heard good things and would like some expert opinions on this subject. You can contact me cleck673(at)bellsouth.net
in D5, I always named the theme i'd use, "myCustomTheme" even when I changed to a whole new different themes, I would always name it myCustomTheme. Is this also ok to practice in D6? Will it cause any conflict or problems if I have a constant theme name? With the introduction of .info files and the whole "Whenever you add a new theme function or template inside your theme the registry must be cleared", I want to know if this is alright.
I'm trying to migrate my staff from endless email threads to endless forum discussions. The transition difficulty seems to be that there's no push notification of new messages or watched threads. Is there a module that adds this to forums?
