Drupal 6.x

I followed the insturctions to install Drupal 6.1 and everything went fine....I think. I went to the install.php and everything there checked out. Then I went to http://www.mydom/index.php and got presented to the Drupal front page, so far so good...but then any link I pick brings me to my main webpage. I installed drupal to my public_html dir, which is where my index.html page is located. That is the page I want to edit/update using Drupal. What did I miss or what am I doing wrong?

a bit through the module-area but couln't find the right one (there is a Joomla site I maybe
have to swich to drupal, but I'm not sure if the right modules are available).
So it would be great if someone can help me.

I would like to display a list of the most recent nodes on the front page of my site for the top terms...(completed) Now I would like to mix files in with the nodes as well, similar to that of Basecamp.

I am completely lost on this, Google has not helped, neither has the countless Drupal searches. I have wasted extremely too much time on this one little loop, and know that it has to be possible. If any one has been able to accomplish this in the past or point me to a past post or how-to it would be greatly appreciated.

I have 2 static websites that I want to move into drupal. The first is about 2000 pages, maybe 1gb of data.

The second is about 41,000 files (Images, PDFs, HTML, etc), about 5gb of data.

These are the first 2 websites i'd like to migrate in. The 3rd has approximately 50gb of data.

I'd like to script the migration. The HTML is standard across most of the pages, so i know where the content is and can pull it out with scripts. I also need to make sure that the path aliases to all pages and files remain the same so that bookmarks do not break.

I would like to create a video hosting site like Youtube with Drupal 6.x.. does anyone know how to? The tool "swf_tool" doesn't work with 6.x... kudos to anyone who helps out and there is a 400gb server sitting here *hint*

I haven't been themeing for a few months and meanwhile FireFox 2.0.0.12 came out.
I started with changing the width of the site/project Im working with and nothing happens but it works fine in IE7.
It seems like FF doesn't update the site at all so I removed the cache and after that I can actually see my new changes but removing the cache after everytime I make a change in the code is crazy.

Am I alone with this problem?
