So I've been playing with the 6.0 to 6.1 upgrade for the last few hours. I followed all the steps and messed up somewhere... twice... lucky for backup I restarted and I did it my way. I understand it is wrong to do it this way but everything seems to work fine, can someone explain to my why I shouldn't do it again?
So I've had a blog on Blogger for the last few months now, and I'm ready to start moving it over to Drupal. I now have a Drupal 6 site that I'm starting to migrate my posts over to manually, which I don't mind as it gives me a chance to spell check, review, etc. but I'm having trouble deciding what to use for images.
Here is my first, nice looking site using Drupal. :-) I used the marinelli theme for the basic structure, and then customized the heck out of it. I'm still not completely finished - but it's starting to get there.
After getting to know how coding is used for themes - I can tell you now that I am a drupal user for life. :-) It's simple now, straightforward, light on code - and simply amazing.
I am always open to constructive criticism on how to make the site look better - if something isn't working, etc...
I have upgraded to 6.01, which indeed worked until I wanted to create content. As the topic says I have this error. Besides that I could not create the directory /files because it could not find it. I had to set the attributes for the directory files in /sites/default to writable. Though the files was uploaded as I could see in the ftp editor.
Complete newbie here. I have created different pages dealing with graduating high school classes, class of 2009, 2010, and 2011. I want to have Stories associated just with those Pages and maybe the home page. How do I get a Story to show up just on a certain page?
Loving Drupal so far, though I'm not sure it meets all my needs. Thanks.
